Trapiche Broquel Malbec 2016, 75cl: Broquel means shield and symbolizes a family's heritage. Originally, the grapes were sourced from the vineyards surrounding the winery, but nowadays, the winemakers choose the best terroirs for each variety to elaborate these outstanding wines. The ultra-premium Broquel range shows fruit concentration at its best. The grapes were hand harvested in the last week of March from high-altitude vineyards of over 15 years of age. After a careful elaboration process including a long maceration, the wine was aged in oak barrels during 15 months. The wine shows a beautiful balance of ripe tannins and a long finish. To be enjoyed now or leave 4 to 5 years cellaring. 14% ABV. Awarded 90 points by James Suckling.com.

Trapiche Oak Cask Malbec 2017, 75cl: The grapes are sourced from the foothills of The Andes Mountains, where the combination of the altitude and generous sunshine produces concentrated, aromatic fruit. The ageing in oak barrels during 9 months adds finesse, harmony and complexity. A Malbec with a beautiful, deep red colour and violet hues. Sweet aromas of blackberries and plums with an elegant touch of smoke and vanilla. Velvety texture and a sweet, long aftertaste. Ideal to serve with cheeses, red meats, mushrooms, stew and with the typical Argentinean ''asado''. 13.5% ABV. Won Silver in International Wine Challenge 2018.
