Quails' Gate
Okanagan Valley, British Colombia, CanadaAs one of Canada’s foremost family-owned estate wineries, they’ve shaped the development of the wine industry for over six decades, focusing on making the Okanagan Valley a true culinary destination.
Quails’ Gate Winery has built its reputation on three pillars: providing consistent high-quality wines, delivering an exceptional visitor experience and ensuring excellence in customer service.
Our holistic management approach to grapegrowing preserves the diversity of our natural surroundings without compromising the quality of fruit. Through the use of remote vineyard monitoring stations, they can target chemical applications; utilize drip irrigation to conserve water and operate fewer vehicles in the vineyard. They also use organic fertilizers and nutrients, which are supplemented by our composting program.
This commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship has led to several significant achievements such as, overall waste has been reduced by more than 50 percent, and Old Vines Restaurant has been certified as Green Table and is a partner in the Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise Program. They're also committed to using eco-glass bottles in their winery, which are light-weight and contain a higher percentage of recycled content.
Quails’ Gate has also partnered with Nature Conservancy of Canada in the development and protection of important ecological sites throughout the Okanagan Valley.
Their vineyard is situated on a south-facing slope above Lake Okanagan. The unique terroir of their vineyards contributes to the rich character and intense flavour of Quails' Gate's award-winning wines.
